What to Know for the Start of College Basketball Season in Georgia

College football may still be in full force, but when the calendar turns to November, that means the start of college basketball season! Georgia is home to many great NCAA division 1 programs, and we got the scoop on what you need to know! 

The University of Georgia Bulldogs 

The Bulldogs open their season against the Bryant University Bulldogs at home in a battle of the dawgs on Friday, November 10th. Tickets are available here, or you can catch the game on the SEC Network, where most of their games will be broadcasted throughout the season, or you can livestream the radio broadcast here.

The Jackets also open their season on Friday, November 10th, except instead of playing in Georgia, they’ll be in Shanghai, China! Yes, the game will be played in China, against the UCLA Bruins and broadcast on ESPN at 11:30 p.m. ET. You can also catch the radio broadcast at 93.7 THE FAN. Tickets for other home games can be found here. 

Georgia State Panthers 

The Panthers will open their season at home against Carver Bible College on Friday, November 10th at 7 p.m. local time at GSU Sports Arena. Purchase tickets here, or you can catch the radio broadcast at 1340 AM/ 103.7 FM. 

Georgia Southern Eagles 

Last, but not least, we have the Eagles who start out on the road this season as they travel to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to take on the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Friday, November 10th at 7:30 p.m. local time. Listen to the game here. Georgia Southern’s first home game is Monday, November 13th against Cal State Bakersfield, tickets available here.

Here’s when the programs will face off with one another this season.
